THE WOODCUTTER'S COTTAGE

In conjunction with ‘Tales from the East’ ‘THE WOODCUTTER’S COTTAGE’ is the embodiment of human cosiness in the dark recesses of the forest where fairy tales were told around a glowing fire. In this series Jane explores human primeval relations with forests and our needs for aesthetic objects and creating cosiness in the home, forming the ultimate setting for telling fairy tales. Alongside colour Biro drawings, she creates interior objects and furnishings for the ‘THE WOODCUTTER’S COTTAGE’ made from fabrics she has designed and printed herself.
